Being Honest

Being Honest

Teenagers make a lot of mistakes. Mostly because we get the mindset of Independence. We think we are old enough to do what we want, when we want.
Yes, we are old enough to make our own choices, but those choices often times are not the right ones. For example, I was bumping my volleyball in our living room (btw there are lots of breakable items in there). I wasn’t thinking about all of the things that my volleyball could hit. THEN I hit it too high in the wrong direction and down came my Mom’s Golden Angel. It broke all over the fireplace. I freaked out, I thought this in the end!
My sister and I gathered the pieces and put them in the garbage. I kept thinking of what to tell my Mom or should I tell her at all?
She got home and I decided to tell her. She surprisingly wasn’t mad at all.
I made the choice to be honest with her. Now if I hadn’t of been honest and told her it may not have ended so well.
SO, I try to be honest with my parents and everyone else in my life!
