POWER, PRAISE, and WORSHIP

POWER, PRAISE, and WORSHIP

There is no greater place to be than in the Presence of the King. Our God, my Father, the one who created this Universe and everything in it. The one who created me!

God knew me before he formed me in my Mother’s womb. I believe that with all my heart. God created me for relationship with him.

Several of my posts have been about difficulties that I have faced in my life. Some because of my poor decisions and some because others had a plan to destroy or hurt me. No matter the WHY, God has always been there for me.

PROTECTON:

When I was around 12 years old I was babysitting for my cousins kids in Germantown. The kids were in bed and I feel asleep on the couch. It was in the summer and the window was open. Something woke me up. I looked at the window close to the couch and a man was standing there trying to cut through the screen holding a gun. With my legs shaking I walked in front of him to the phone to call for help. God protected me!

At the age of 16 and the week before Christmas, I wanted to go to the Dayton Mall to shop. My Dad said I could only go if my friend went with me. She couldn’t go so I went alone against my Dad’s direction. It seemed like a man was following me around the Mall, so I waited for folks to walk out the entrance at the same time that I did. What was I thinking? As soon as we were outside everyone went different directions except the man following me.

Why didn’t I go back inside? Crazy immature teenager! I went to my car opened the door as fast as I could and jumped in. As I tried to close the door he grabbed it. We played tug of war for what seems like forever. His long black trench coat opened and he had nothing on under it. I screamed God help me and my door closed.

Power in Praise and Worship:

Not only my physical but also my mental and emotional help has always came from calling out to God.

As a young child I would sing and play church. I always wanted to be in God’s presence.

Our relationship with THE KING should compare to the tabernacle of Moses.

According to Psalm 100, we enter His gates with thanksgiving. When my eyes open in the morning I thank God for life, breath, health and strength. We thank God for what he has done in our lives. We are in the outer court of the Temple.

We then move into the Holy place were we offer our praise. We praise God for who he is. He is my Father, my God, my King. He is Holy, he is the beginning, he is the end. We could go on forever praising who he is. We chose to praise, it is a function of our will. Our praise represents the table of showbread in the holy place.

My GREATEST desire is to allow God to bring us through the veil into his presence in worship. There is no greater place to be. I can only go into the Holy of Holies when I am in right relationship with my Father. Sitting at the feet of God in worship will change everything within me and around me.

God, let us always be mindful of who you are and of the relationship that you want with us.

God we wait on you, it doesn’t matter what it looks like, it doesn’t matter what is sound like. WE JUST WANT YOU!!!

Blessings,

KSR
