Have you ever heard the saying “Everything that a thing is, is in the thing”?

Say that to yourself a few times and it sounds crazy but it’s true. At a few group meetings I’ve shared this thought only to have folks look at me like I’m crazy. Maybe they are right to some extent. 🙂

What are we saying? Everything that a thing is, is in the thing. Really? How can that be?

Picture yourself holding an Acorn. It’s small, it’s shaped funny. What do you see?

Did you think about an Oak tree standing 100 feet tall with its branches and leaves extending 100 feet in diameter? Probably not.

Wow, this mighty Oak tree was something that you could hold in your hand, yet when given what it needed for life it now stand 100 or more feet tall.

If God created an oak tree from an acorn and he provides everything that it needs for life how much more does he care for you and I?

God knew me before I was formed. God knew what I was and what I needed to fulfill my purpose for life on this earth.

If I believe “Everything that a thing is, Is in the thing” then I believe that God has equipped me with everything that I need for this journey called LIFE.

Just as the Oak tree has stood through many natural storms and survived, we also face storms in life but the God that created us will keep us.

When I don’t know which direction to go, I run to my Creator. I look for the lamp unto my feet and the light unto my path.

When I don’t know how I’m going to physically push through another day, I run to my Father who created me and he gives me strength.

When I don’t know how to stand, I just hold on till the storm is over. I may be swaying and bending low as the branches of the Mighty Oak in the storm but we KNOW that the sun will shine again. The storm will pass.

You are strong, you are mighty, you are able to stand!

We’ve been made more than Conquerors, over comers in this life

We’ve been made victorious through the blood of Jesus Christ!!
